Celebrity TV shows inundated with prospective Tory MP contestants

Producers of I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here and Strictly Ballroom have been inundated with Tory MPs interested in pursuing other possibilities.

With so many Tory MPs opting to stand down at the election there are thought to be a lot of enquiries to the usual TV shows where former politicians go in an attempt to give their image an overhaul. The producers behind I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here, Strictly Ballroom, Great British Bake Off (stand up to cancer) and other programmes are said to be inundated with enquiries from current Conservative MPs.

Michael Portillo is concerned that some former colleagues might try to poach his format of riding around on trains hoping people will forget how evil he was. He is said to be particularly concerned about Michael ‘Gollum’ Gove who was seen on a railway platform a while back.

So far 79 Conservative MPs have announced their intention to stand down at their upcoming election. Gove is the latest to announce his intention. The names declared so far are…
