Screen grab of Reform UK Facebook post with a picture of Nigel Farage. Message text: Reform UK are pleased to announce we have opened a bank account with Lloyds. This is a landmark moment for the professionalisation of out party. The word party has a strike through it and the text added - private limited company.

Farage can now clean out under his bed

With great fanfare Reform announced they have finally established a bank account – seven years after setting up the company.

Mosf companies establish a business account a week or so after the company is registered. Those are the ones managed by professionals. Waiting seven years after a company is registered to set up a bank account is, of course, the opposite of professional.

This step became necessary as all the Reform 2025 Ltd money was stashed under Farage’s bed. This arrangement worked okay for a while as the company only had about £1.3 million last year. The donation of £9 million by Christopher Harborne just would not have fitted under his bed, so he had to open a bank account for Reform.

The good news for Farage is that he can now get the vacuum cleaner under his bed.
