Every General Election is lightened by the sight of a Liberal Democrat leader performing stunts or presenting amusing visual metaphors of how they are going to win the election. Until now…
Like all other elections, Liberal Democrat leaders have bombarded the electorate with a wide range of stunts. Liberal Democrat leader Sir Ed Davey has demonstrated unwavering commitment to flinging himself off paddle boards, down water slides, down hills on bicycles and around assault courses in the mud. What a guy!
But has he peaked too soon? There are worrying rumours that he has run out of stunts at the halfway point through the election campaign. Possibly the LibDem stunt budget is used up.
We have a few suggestions. Riding around Hyde Park on a pogo stick. A chilli eating competition against Farage. Wrestling grizzly bears. Caber tossing. Possibly the hardest stunt, winning more than twelve parliamentary seats.
