Trump still hoping for Peace Prize as there was no act of war

Despite the deaths of Venezuelan soldiers and innocent civilians along with the kidnap of the president it was a special military operation and not war.

Trump believes he is still in contention for a Nobel Peace Prize. Sure he sent a load of soldiers into another country, killed a load of soldiers and civilians and kidnapped the Venezuelan president along with his wife. The important distinction was that it was not an act of war because Congress was not involved. Putin told him that presidents are allowed to do special military operations without approval and they don’t count as war.

People also forget that Trump had an obligation to act. He had promised all the oil companies that donated to his election campaign to get them access to loads of oil. Stealing oil tankers was working out to be too slow. Taking Venezuelan oil works out perfect as the US companies don’t have to bother with complying with the pollution and environmental protections they would be hassled with in the US.

The Venezuelans were also provoking him by leaving all that oil in the ground and not using it. They deserved to have it taken from them.
