Trump likes to waffle on about making America great and encouraging manufacturing in the USA, but his new range of sneakers and other branded goods are made everywhere except for the USA. So in favour of supporting US manufacturing except when if affects his profit margin. So a fan of globalism then.
The defendant Trump was promoting his branded trainers during “Sneaker Con” at the Philadelphia Convention Center last week. The trainers are shiny gold high tops with an American flag detail on the back, are being sold as “Never Surrender High-Tops” for $399. They sold out very quickly.
With Trump being a vocal advocate for American made goods and making America great again it would be reasonable to assume that if these were manufactured in the USA he would be shouting about it loud and proud.
A summary of where the various Trump brand goods are made indicates that they are probably mostly made in Italy, Spain and Portugal. It also seems likely that some are also manufactured in other countries such as China, Brazil, and India. People who have brought them have shared pictures showing that the ones they purchased were made in China.
So not really that bothered about making America great or supporting US manufacturing.
