Popular Conservatives, a crime against English

Liz Truss is being sued by dictionary companies for flagrant misuse of the word ‘popular’. Weber’s dictionary has joined with others to sue Truss and the others. Language changes over time but this is ridiculous.

Truss, Jacon Rees-Mogg, Lee Anderson , Nigel Farage have decided to form yet another group of conservatives. With absolutely no irony whatsoever they decided to call themselves the Popular Conservatives. There is absolutely no objective measure by which they could be remotely considered mildly tolerable let alone popular.

Even within the Conservative party they are not popular. A YouGov Tory popularity poll put Truss 65th from the top, Rees-Mogg at 16, Anderson never made it on to the table.

Among their aims is to address the “crippling tax burden” that rich people face, taking control away from “faceless” organisations” such as judges and put decisions in the hands of think tanks that no-one knows the membership of or how they are funded,

Truss is hoping to have another go at crashing the UK economy. She has been annoyed that mortgage rates have come down and some salaries have recovered. She sees all this money swilling about as the rightful property of her mates.

The dictionary companies are suing her for blatant disregard for the English language and for bringing the language into disrepute. They have asked for her to be sent to Rwanda as it is such a wonderful place.

On a positive note she is in contention for the award for the least self-aware person of 2024.
