Jason Aldean taking a leaf out of Pink’s book?

Jason Aldean is believed to be planning to emulate Pink by handing out free books at his next concerts. Book wholesalers report that there have been bulk purchases of some surprising titles

At some of her recent concerts in Florida where banning certain books from libraries has become a popular choice, Pink gave away two thousand free copies of some of the banned titles. The books that were given away were “The Hill We Climb,” by Amanda Gorman; “Beloved,” by Toni Morrison; “The Family Book,” by Todd Parr, and a book from “Girls Who Code,” founded by Reshma Saujani.

In an attempt to hit back it is thought that Jason Aldean is also planning to giveaway books at upcoming concerts. Titles thought to be considered are “The Right Side of History” by Ben Shapiro (available as a colouring book), “The Conservative Mind” by Russell Kirk (with free white sheet), “As You Grow” by Kirk Cameron (with lapel badge saying ‘I’m fighting the imaginary culture war’) and the ever popular “Mein Kampf” by Adolf Hitler.

Jason Aldean is popular amongst right wingers as he is the only music artist under the age of 70 who, in the song “Try that in a small town” and it’s accompanying video, has really embraced small minded selfishness, punching down on people less well off, and of course lynching. Variety has a review of the song. While he didn’t write the song he chose to record it and embrace its themes.

Pink is well known to be a supporter of various worthy causes. This upsets right wingers who can not understand being unselfish and kind.

The banned books

Blatant product placement. Of course we get a commission for orders placed by these links. It isn’t much, I certainly won’t be retiring on the income from commission!
