The news that the UK will rejoin the Erasmus scheme from 2027 has been welcomed by universities, colleges and many businesses. The scheme funds young people to spend a year in another European country taking part in organised learning or training opportunities. The UK was forced to leave the scheme when it left the EU.
Alumni of the University of Life, Digital Creators and people who shout at hotels are outraged. Some are claiming it is just an excuse for Starmer to “…give the EU more money”. Others are convinced that this is, “The start of pushing us back into Europe.”. Of course, “Starmer is lining his own pockets with an EU pension just like Neil Kinnock did”. Not sure how that works.
Of course, “they are betraying the people who voted for them in every way they can before they get voted out”.
