The BBC to pretend they are liable for putting together a montage so they can give Trump a Royal. This move is seen as a win-win.
Trump has been made aware of an editing decision to create a montage from a long rambling speech of his on January 6th. This made his rambling stream of angry posturing into coherent sentences. The purpose of the montage was to convey he was angry. Job done.
He has indicated that he plans to sue the BBC and claim damages of $1 billion. It is unclear what the basis of the claim will be. The Panorama episode containing the montage piece was broadcast over a year ago so has patently not given rise to any reputational or financial harm. They never even noticed it had been broadcast.
In a slick move Buckingham Palace and the BBC are thought to be concocting a plan where the BBC apologises and offers to give Trump Andrew as his own pet ‘royal’. They have so much in common with their shared friendship of Epstein and other interests they have in common.
This unique compensation deal will be a once in a lifetime offer.
