The 16 year old has just taken the darts world by storm in the PDC championship. He narrowly missed winning the championship. The prospects of him winning future championships is good if he heeds the advice from a former champion.
The phenomenal rise of Luke Littler at the World Darts championship at Alexander Palace last week has amazed followers of the game. In his first outing at the championship he beat all comers to reach the final against Luke Humphries on Wednesday.
Former world champion Phil ‘The Power’ Taylor has commented that Littler is destined to be a future champion. He does have doubts about Littler’s diet. “He is making the same mistake as most younger players. Pizzas are a fun thing to eat, but they are problematic for darts players”. He went on to explain, “There’s a risk of ingesting vegetables such as onions, mushrooms, peppers and the like”.

Taylor outlined the perfect performance diet for darts players, “For top level performance darts players need to focus on carbs and protein. Don’t confuse the digestive system with vegetables. Meat pies are perfect. Swilled down with regular lager. Not the alcohol free nonsense”.
