Republican governor Mark Robinson suffered a second degree burn while attending the Mayberry Truck Show. Pants are believed to be involved.
Robinson was attending the truck show as part of his campaigning to retain the governorship of North Carolina. Reports stated that he was asked about several of his senior campaign advisers resigning following certain allegations. When he denied that they had resigned it is reported that his pants started smouldering dramatically.
When he later denied that he had posted racist comments on a porn site with the username ‘Black Nazi’ his pants burst into flames. While he took his pants off he received hand burns.
He received hospital treatment and continued campaigning yesterday despite pressure from state Republicans and also reportedly Trump’s team to exit the race.
There are also reports that he burnt his hand on a truck exhaust pipe, but really, the ‘liar, liar, pants on fire’ scenario is way more credible.
