The impending TikTok cut-off has got young people traumatized. Some are making preparations. They are all united – please not Musk. He’s so ick.
With the deadline for the Chinese parent company, ByteDance, to transfer ownership of the US branch to an American owner fast approaching, many TikTok users are taking action.
Many are buying glass screens and writing messages on it then standing behind it to try and emuiate the Tiktok experience in real life.
It has been rumoured that the Chinese owner will preempt the deadline and shutdown US access to TikTok before the deadline. Some users have moved to another Chinese app called RedNote. The RedNote app has surged to number one on the download charts in many regions.
Loops
The numbers for signups and downloads for Loops has increased. People are attracted by the short video platform that carries no advertising and no tracking. With a slick app available from the Google Play Store and an Apple app on the way, Loops is looking like an attractive option. This is a non-corporate system that is not collecting your data to sell.
