Over the last months Trump has mastered the art of caving in. Starting with his big beautiful tarrifs, which for many companies can be completely ignored by the generous granting of exemptions.
One of the basic tenets of the MAGA movement was the release of all the Jeffrey Epstein files. After blocking and obfuscating over the release of the documents, Trump finally capitulated a week ago and has signed a bill for their release.
Trump is now gearing up for his largest capitulation, agreeing to pass large areas of Ukraine over to Russia. He is hoping that appeasing Putin will lead to the USA getting hold of the rare earth metals that are available in the Ukraine. Obviously he doesn’t care that Putin will not be satisfied and wants Ukraine to have prohibitive restrictions on its sovereignty.
