Severe hay fever sufferer tells of his trauma sitting in a garden centre greenhouse surrounded by flowers. Garden centre refused to give them free meals to compensate
Gordon Isamoron (38) was left traumatised after a weekend outing went horrifically wrong. Gordon (tattoos) said he had taken his wife and young daughter for a drive in the country. All was going well. In the middle of the afternoon they thought it would be nice to stop somewhere for a drink and a cake
After a while his wife spotted a sign for a garden centre with a café. The sign had large pictures of flowers on it. While this did raise a slight concern they decided that these were just to make the sign look pretty.
On entering the garden centre his wife took their daughter to the toilets. Rather than hang around by the toilets, Gordon (Sagittarius) went outside and found a greenhouse to go in to shelter from the slight breeze as he only had a tee-shirt to wear in January.
“There was no signage that the greenhouse contained plants or flowers. The moment I walked through the door I could feel my eyes starting to tingle. I had to go in and sit down to consider what to do”.
Several members of staff came to enquire if he was okay. They did offer to help him out of the greenhouse, but were reluctant to remove all the plants from the greenhouse. One went to find his wife who was able to take lots of photos before leading him to the café.
The owners of the garden centre refused to give them free meals to compensate for the trauma. When Gordon sold his story to a national tabloid newspaper, the garden centre was approached for comment. The comments provided are unprintable.
Gordon (attention seeker) vowed never to go back to them ever again.
