How to wash broccoli and other vegetables

After some ridiculous advice from a self-described life hacks expert on TikTak, Excruciata explains the correct way to wash vegetables.

Hello my lovelies. As many of you will know, one of the nice thing about employing staff to help look after the house is you get to see some of the quaint things they keep on their mobile telephones. It does mean that sometimes they are looking at their telephones rather than working, which is why deducting pay was invented.

Occasionally Sandra shows me things that she thinks might amuse me. Usually they do not. Poor woman seems to be trapped in a very juvenile mindset. She really should have grown up by 27.

However, one she showed me the other day did attract my attention, for the wrong reason. A young man in his 30s called Sidney had apparently ‘discovered’ a correct way to wash broccoli. For some reason he got very excited and decided he needed to make a film of it for everybody to see. Apparently this is a life hack. I know what a hack with horses is.

Two things.

If you get excited about washing vegetables then have a good hard think about your life.

The best way to wash broccoli and other vegetables? I leave it to the cook with the explicit instructions; do not tell me.
