The Republicans suffered defeats in elections. Unable to cope with the idea that people just don’t want to vote for them they look around for someone or thing to blame. Apparently that dastardly Taylor Swift put the kids up to it. Grrrrr.
Through her Social Media and concerts Taylor Swift has been encouraging her fans to register to vote. Following one of her messages voter registration site Vote.org reported a 22.5% increase in total registrations and a 115% increase in 18 year olds.
In all of her calls for people to register to vote and reminders of when elections are she has not advocated voting for any particular party. Despite this the far right are blaming her for their election losses on Tuesday.
“It’s Election Day! If you are registered to vote in Colorado, Kentucky, Maine, Mississippi, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas or Virginia, it’s time to use your voice”
One right whinger, Jack Posobiec, really demonstrated how to connect with younger voters by a childish car crash of a foam flecked rant, “THE CHILDLESS, UNMARRIED ABORTION ARMY MOBILIZED BY BARBIE, TAYLOR SWIFT, AND TIKTOK” was “CRUSHING REPUBLICANS AT THE BALLOT BOX”.
That is how to really double down on why Republicans are not worthy of people’s votes but are too dumb to figure it out.
Someone else stuck in some sad abortion obsessed echo chamber is Charlie Kirk who also wants to reveal the winning characteristics that will really win over anyone with intelligence or self respect. “Taylor Swift is going to come out in the presidential election and she is going to mobilize her fans,” Kirk warned his viewers on Wednesday, adding, “And we’re going to be like, ‘Oh wow, where did all these young, female voters come from?’ We better have a plan for that.”
Here’s an Idea for a plan. Have some policies that aren’t focused on the culture war created by the right to distract from their lack of purpose or point.
