A ThikTokker wanted to film shoppers being overjoyed at her for paying for their shopping. Shoppers tell random weirdo with a camera to get lost.
Amelia Goldsmith felt the need to make a public spectacle of offering to pay for people’s shopping so she could feel good about herself. Of course being a ThikTokker she needed to film it so all the lame people who follow her would know what a wonderful person she is.
In a spectacular demonstration of her lack of self-awareness she posted a video where she blubs about how everyone refused. It is incredibly cringeworthy. While she describes herself as “realistic fitness gal beating societal norms”, she lacks the realism to understand that people don’t want to be performing monkeys for the virtue signalling of some random person with a camera.
One man in the Sainsbury’s store was angry at the suggestion and a woman was embarrassed. Perhaps if she’d asked at a store where people in financial hardship might shop she would have had a better reception. Unfortunately those supermarkets are typically less photogenic which would have spoilt her vacuous purpose.
