Following the revelations of racist comments by Tory donor Frank Hester, Reform UK Party Ltd reckon he is a good fit for them, after all they have got Lee Anderson. They like racists and will welcome him with open arms.
Strangely a lot of people are confused about what constitutes racist comments. Hester himself seems to think that saying things like Diane Abbott makes you “want to hate all black women” is perfectly fine. He also likes to make racial remarks to and around his staff such as when looking down on the railway station and making a clumsy attempt to make a racist joke by asking if there was “no room for the Indians, then?” He then said: “Climb on the roof, like on the roof of the train there maybe?”
As he has donated £10 million to the Tories they are deeply conflicted by the lure of money and attempts to portray themselves as being against racism. Jeremy Hunt has said it would be wrong for Hester to be “cancelled” for comments he had subsequently apologised for. Hester had had over 5 years to apologise for some of the comments he has made.
Reform UK Party Ltd are unlikely to worry about such comments having taken Lee Anderson in to their fold. They might even make him one of the directors.
