People who have never been to Glastonbury Festival angry over the performers announced today. They have never heard of most of the acts.
With the announcement of the confirmed performers for the 2025 Glastonbury Festival there was the annual chorus of people complaining that they wouldn’t buy a ticket to see “that selection of nobodies”. As all the tickets sold out months ago to diehard Glastonbury revellers they would not be able to get tickets anyway.
People who have never been to a festival, or last went in the 80s have been very keen to post “who the fuck are they?”, or “Never heard of them” on posts announcing the Glastonbury lineup.
The lineup this year includes Charli XCX, The 1975, Rod Stewart, Neil Young, Olivia Rodrigo, The Prodigy, Alanis Morissette and many others.
Folk whose interest in current music stopped when Terry Wogan died are keen to let everybody know that the music today isn’t as good as when it used to be. They also like to let everybody know that it is more commercialised than it used to be even though they have never been to one.
Others have felt the need to share their irritation at the television coverage because of people waving flags and enjoying themselves without a thought for the people watching from home.
