Outrage as Easter is cancelled. Flag waving hordes yell at displays of chocolate eggs. Flag shaggers are incandescent.
The people who normally shout at hotels and Christmas trees have been congregating outside supermarkets and they are not happy. They are drawing attention to the cancellation of Easter.
Tim Burr of the Long Eaton Flag Shaggers shared his outrage which is typical of many. “It ain’t right. They’re stealing Easter from us. None of the eggs even have Easter on them. ‘Ow are we supposed to know what they are?”

Annie Philaxis added, “The boxes just say ‘this season’. Wha’sat supposed to mean? It’s political correctness gone mad. I won’t be eatin’ them and neither will any of my family. They are the Devil’s confectionery”. There was more outrage that the Easter bunny had been removed from the packaging
As we left the area we could hear their angry chants. “WHAT DO WE WANT? THE EASTER BUNNY! WHEN DO WE WANT IT? NOW!!!!!
