Shop workers complain of Christmas cruelty

Shop workers have to put up with a lot. Low wages, unsociable hours and aggressive customers. Christmas brings added cruelty and they’ve had enough. Mariah Carey!

Shop workers are making their voices heard, and they are in harmony. No more Mariah fucking Carey!

They have unanimously decided that having to listen to her exaggerated warbling while trapped in the workplace constitutes cruel and unusual treatment. As they are not allowed to wear headphones or ear defenders to block out the sound they have no protection.

There are several Christmas songs that many of them find atrocious. Santa Baby by Madonna, Wonderful Christmastime by Paul McCartney, Santa Claus Is Coming To Town by Justin Bieber to name a few. By far and away the most annoying is Mariah Carey’s All I Want for Christmas Is You.

Human Rights lawyers agree that the shop workers have a good case for unreasonable working conditions.

Clare Voyante (Aquarius) pretty much knew what to expect when she started working at a local supermarket. All was fine until the end of November when the supermarket changed to playing the Christmas playlist. “It’s pretty annoying most of the year as they have pretty much the same 50 songs repeated throughout the year”, but when it comes to the Christmas playlist “It shrinks down to about 10 songs. It’s hell”.

For the average customer it might mean that they hear the same song twice, however the unfortunate staff might hear the same songs a dozen or more times in a shift.
