Bloke annoyed at people correcting his made up facts

Online and down the pub Mack Aroney is compelled to respond to everything with clever facts. Unfortunately he does not know much so uses made up facts. He gets really annoyed when people with accurate facts correct him.

Making the battery for one electric car produces the same amount of carbon dioxide as running a petrol car for eight years

Manufacturing an electric car battery emits CO2 equivalent to running a petrol car for 1 or 2 years. Mack gets very annoyed when he is corrected on this. It’s one of his favourite ‘facts’.

Dogs can’t look up

This was made up for the movie Shaun of the Dead to illustrate how unreliable ‘Big Al’ was as a source of information, and how gullible the character of Ed is in the film.

The word ‘gullible’ isn’t in the dictionary

This is a really old joke that someone told Mack Aroney about 30 years ago. Unfortunately Mack took it as fact and no-one has had the heart to correct him. It gets very confusing when he mocks strangers for correcting him.

You know those lines in the sky? They are spraying chemicals to control us

They really aren’t spraying chemicals. They are contrails, short for condensation trails. These are produced by the exhaust from jet planes producing nucleii around which water vapour condenses. Given the number of smooth brained ‘free thinkers’ shouting about it, the control thing really isn’t working.

Jews are controlling everything

And yet somehow they are unable to stop people from posting anti-Semitic garbage on social media. It would also be strange that if Jews controlled everything, why are 26% of US Jews struggling financially?

Wind turbines are killing loads of birds

Wind turbines do kill some birds, but nowhere near as many as cats and cars do. If you are bothered about bird deaths get rid of those first.

Unfortunately this bloke is a Conservative voter. If you come across one please gently help them into the real world of actual facts and not the made up ones that they cling to.
