Wham cover for Last Christmas

Football club DJ wipes out 7215 people in epic WhamAgeddon

The halls of WhamHalla hosted 7215 new souls last night after DJ Matt Facer played the 1984 Wham song ‘last Christmas’ during half time at a football match. He is not very popular.

Each year large numbers of people aim to avoid hearing the Wham Christmas favourite between 1st December and 24th December. Players will go to great lengths to avoid hearing it including not listening to the radio and avoiding shops playing music. To hear it causes the heater to suffer WhamAgeddon.

“I gave it a spin, thinking it would be quite funny to wipe out 7,000 people who couldn’t avoid it, but clearly it isn’t funny,”

DJ Matt Facer said that he thought it would be funny to wipe out so many people by playing it during the halftime at Northampton Town’s game against Portsmouth, sending 7,215 people crashing out of the event.

He was on the receiving end of a large number of angry comments on Twitter.

The rules of the game are simple and only apply to the original version of the song. He has apologised to all the players. “I never knew people took it so seriously,” he said. “I gave it a spin, thinking it would be quite funny to wipe out 7,000 people who couldn’t avoid it, but clearly it isn’t funny,”

He has promised not to play it at future games. Can he be trusted. Players who are still in the game planning to bring headphones to future matches at SixFields.
