Excruciata Reees-Mog leaps to the defence of Lady Laura Cathcart and her husband. When they advertised for a nanny and were accused of being slave drivers.
Hello my lovelies. All parents would agree that the summer time is irksome if you have young children. Having to look after them and keep them entertained would take up a lot of time if you let it. When my children were young we would pack them off to a long summer camp while my husband and I spent time at home or visiting friends on The Riviera.
When the lovely William Cash and his darling wife Lady Laura Cathcart were faced with this issue they did what any normal person would do and advertised for a nanny to look after the brats darling children over the summer. They wanted to make the best of the summer at their lovely Shropshire home of Upton Cressett Hall and not be chasing children.
A busy family household is seeking for a reliable person to look after two children (eight and six) in the summer holidays. Part of your role is to drive to summer clubs, help with homework and give them tea/supper.

Apparently lots of the grubby unwashed types had taken time off from gluing themselves to roads to go on social media and criticise them. They seemed to think that employing some one to look after them, feed them, drive them around and help them with homework on £12 an hour was exploitation. That they were slave drivers. Pish. Those people criticising are obviously unaware that they both have jobs and are very busy people. I suspect the people criticising haven’t got a job between them. They certainly were not volunteering to help.
The accusations of exploitation are complete nonsense. They are offering £12 an hour while the minimum wage is £10.42 per hour. Looks generous to me. I sacked two gardeners for suggesting they be paid the minimum wage. I tried to explain that it didn’t apply to people like them working for people like me
