By-election win not enough to get on to Question Time

The guest selection for the flagship Question Time programme will continue ignoring the Green Party. They might be allowed on Any Questions but nobody watches that.

The news that Mancunian plumber Hannah Spencer has won the Gorton and Denton seat for the Green Party has been tempered by a message from the BBC. Green Party members will still be passed over in favour of Reform UK Ltd representatives. This message has highlighted that even when the Greens had the same number of seats as Reform UK Ltd, they favoured giving air time to Reform. Now that the ranks of Reform have been swollen by Tory defectors slithering across to Nigel Farage’s company the Green Party has even less chance of getting a look in.

When challenged over this apparent bias a BBC representative stated that having some bellend from Reform on the show guaranteed some fireworks and plenty of social media coverage which was good for the show. Having all sane rational people on the panel was frankly boring.
