An incident in a Barnsley car park has had massive repercussions on traffic in Barnsley. The fourth emergency service is on the scene.
A shopping trolley broke down in the Morrisons car park in Lower Thomas Street, Off Westway, today. The traffic backing up into the car park ended up causing a tail back onto the M1.
Tbe normal emergency services were unable to resolve the issue. Luckily an AA van was in the area. They were eventually able to fix the wonky wheel and turn it back over.
Traffic is expected to clear in a couple of hours.
