A couple have sent off blood samples for tissue typing to get estimates of how much their kidneys might be worth. They both work and have saved for five years but still can’t afford to buy a property. Desperate times call for desperate measures.
Kyle and Tina are desperate to get their own place together. They have sacrificed so much in a desperate bid to save money. They have done all the things they were told were holding them back including giving up on Netflix, latte and avocados. They have even gone further and stopped buying expensive trainers and clothes.
They both work full time but are unable to afford the deposit for the rent. What they have done wrong is to be born too late. With the growing number of people buying properties as investments letting them out on Airbnb or general rent, the level of rents has outstripped the salaries of many people. As long as there are a few people who can afford them then landlords are happy.
They are hoping one of them has a rare tissue type making the value of the kidney higher.
