Teachers in north England preparing for snow days next week

Scottish Teachers are unhappy that they will probably miss out as the projected snow is likely to be slight in Scotland with only a yellow warning. Northern England has an amber warning.

Teachers in northern England are checking their subscriptions for their favourite streaming services in anticipation of snow days next week. The heavy snow over the weekend followed by freezing conditions means that Monday and possibly Tuesday are certain to be snow days.

A Scottish teaching representative has called out, “It jus’ innae fair. We a’ways get the big snow and days arf. Bloody southerners ha’ stolen our snow days”. Scottish teachers are believed to be ready with shovels to dig snow out of gardens and fields to throw onto the roads.

The Amber snow warning issued by the Met Office has warned that up to 30-40 cms of snow will fall in Northern England, with Wales receiving a little less over Saturday and Sunday. This is likely to lead to disruption for schools next Monday with the additional risk of freezing conditions.
