Five pound note with portrait of Winston Churchill.

People will soon forget who Ray Winstone was

The cancellation of the great man has already begun. The legend who declared ‘I am here to kill your monster’ will be forgotten.

Before his picture was featured on the five pound note in 2016 hardly anybody knew who Winstone was, and no-one knew of his spectacular achievements. His oratorical skills were greatly admired and he was able to stir the nation, even in it’s darkest hours. When he was literally ready to fight them on the beaches, he galvanised the nation by announcing that “‘I’m here to kill your monster”.

The fear that he will be forgotten once the woke Greens get their way is very real. In fact people are already getting him confused with other people.

Before he was put on the five pound notes in 2016 they featured Elizabeth Fry, and absolutely nobody knows who she is now.

The tragedy that will befall our current national treasure must not be repeated. It is time for the nation to rise up and declare that Winstone must stay. No badger can compare to the lovable cockney legend.
