In his early adulthood he felt strongly about race and sex discrimination, but not enough to actually sign a petition or go on a march. He mostly just tutted disapprovingly. Now his expression of being rebellious and edgy is going on social media and posting about how the BBC should be shut down.
Wayne Kerr (55) has never been much of a rebel. He mostly likes to be an awkward contrarian, or just plain bloody awkward. In any situation he would feel the compulsion to have a different opinion as he feared agreement.
He also felt that being awkward made him appear intellectual and interesting. We asked his friends what they thought but there weren’t any.
