NHS bosses welcome innovative solution to the problem of all the corridors being full of patients on trollies.
Disappointed journalists arrived at the Department of Health hoping to see former tennis star Andrew Murray, but were instead met by his even more dull brother James Murray. Having recently taken on the role following the departure of Wes Streeting, Murray decided to tackle the number one NHS issue – lack of capacity to store patients in corridors.
The obvious solution was to create more corridors to allow more patents to be stored. These prefabricated corridors can be rapidly deployed on any land next to hospitals such as car parks. Dubbed as ‘Nightingale Corridors’ by Murray, these will rapidly increase hospital capacity.
The new health secretary is hoping that the beige corridors will get people as excited as he is. He really is excited, although it can be very difficult to tell as he gives off the firecracker excitement of soggy cardboard.
