An empty inflatable dinghy alone at sea

Gammon Stream Media forgets to mention no small boat arrivals for a week

The GSM is too focused on pumping out rage-bait to bother mentioning the lack of new arrivals.

With the Tories and Reform UK Party Ltd taking it in turns to blart out angry comments about asylum seekers being temporarily housed in hotels they have not noticed the lack of new arrivals. So far there has been about a week of no new irregular arrivals by small boats. Government figures from the Border Force show that the last arrivals, two boats, was on 15th August and then nothing until one boat arrived on 22nd August. There were none on the following day.

The Gammon Stream Media have been.merrily focusing on protests outside hotels acting as temporary accommodation while asylum seekers await processing. The GSM such as GBNews, The Sun, Daily Mail, The Telegraph and others have neglected to mention this news. The main reason for this news being good is the reduction in people risking their lives in poorly suited boats on the sea.

In their reporting the GSM also neglect to mention the role of the Tories, Farage and UKIP in precipitating the current irregular migrantion problem. With the UK leaving the European Union the Dublin Agreement, which allowed for the return of irregular migrants, ceased to operate. The GSM along with Tories also forget to mention that the scale of temporary accommodation required was entirely the fault of the previous Tory administration’s failure to process applications quickly enough. Luckily the backlog is decreasing and the need for temporary accommodation is coming down. Have the GSM mentioned this?
