In the face of hostility from Rowling and other transphobes, the trans inclusive Vagina Museum have exceeded their crowdfunding target.
Last week the museum announced that it was threatened with closure. The threat of that it might have to “permanently close our doors” was as a result of high rents, and changes to their payment terms from monthly to quarterly.
When the fundraising page was launched an announcement was made on X, resident hate bunny JK Rowling commente…
“The Vagina Museum, which is currently begging for funds to remain open, has blocked me, so I can’t tell them directly why many former supporters’ reaction is ‘good riddance.'”

Judging by the fundraising response the Vagina Museum is well rid of these so called former supporters. Within a few days they had not only reached their fundraising target, but had smashed right through it. The original target was £60,000. The current amount raised is £72,000 and they now have a revised target of £100,000.
In much the same way as Farage slagging off the RNLI boosts contributions to the RNLI, Rowling’s bitter Xcretions seem to have had the opposite effect to what she wanted. Positivity wins.
