Apparently racism in the UK has been sorted out, but with so many people relying on the racism industry for jobs and purpose there are vested interests in keeping it going. Tory fanboy Alex Story explains how we can all stop being concerned about racism.
Alex Story, who has failed to be elected as a Tory candidate in national and European elections on five occasions, likes to spend his time giving people the benefit of his privileged opinions. You can enjoy his opinions in obscure places like Conservative Post , Conservative Home and Country Squire. He once managed to get an article in The Spectator which must have been thrilling for him.
He has been on a bit of a crusade to reassure us that racism has ended. That’s nice. Presumably that means the Tories won’t have to give any thoughts to ensuring inclusivity and discrimination because they don’t exist.
Long ago was the racist dragon slayed, but the perks, salaries and halos attached to their mission statement have remained.

In various articles and Twitter posts he expands on this theme. That the UK is racism free and that the continued spectre of racism is a policy promoted by various international organizations: “Unfortunately, the race baiting industry is not just a national phenomenon; it is supported, and reinforced, by international organisations, such as the United Nations (UN)”.
He implies that a recent the conclusion that “United Kingdom is one of the least Racist countries on earth”. The only person who has stated that is Alex Story. That certainly isn’t a conclusion that is in The report of the Commission on Race and Ethnic Disparities published April 2021.
Part of his thinking seems to be that there is evidence that the level of deprivation for white boys is substantial, so if they have more deprivation than black and Asian boys then there isn’t any racism. His mental gymnastics are a little bit wobbly and lacking in dexterity. Interestingly he quotes from a World Population Review article to say the United Kingdom is one of the least racist countries in the world. There is no mention of the UK in the article.
In short, there is no data to suggest that the United Kingdom is structurally, institutionally, or systemically racist.

He seems to be basing his conclusion on a little bit of mental gymnastics and some imagined conclusions from a mate down the pub.
It can’t be said that Alex Story doesn’t have a sense of irony. On his other favourite theme of how wonderful Boris Johnson was and how dreadful his successors have been, he comments that Jeremy Hunt ‘has no discernible talent ‘. This coming from a fan boy who has failed to get elected on multiple occasions is magnificently ironic. Although might be right on this occasion.
