A fund to buy a new RNLI boat named after Farage has nearly reached its goal. Named the Flying Farage it will be more use than its namesake.
In response to Farage’s criticism of the Royal National Lifeboat Institute (RNLI) for saving the lives of refugees in difficulties in small boats, a fundraiser was set up. The fundraising goal is £250,00, and it is at 97% of the target.
The organiser, Simon Harris, set this up via his Facebook page. He has commented, “FFS I distinctly remember asking you all to not engage with this post. No sharing. No commenting. No liking. As per usual you all completely ignored me and punted it into more than 225,000 Facebook feeds. I despair.”
As raising funds for a gesture that might irritate Nigel Farage is totally unwarranted and childish we endorse the request not to visit the fundraising page and help reach the target.
Do not visit this GoFundMe page to raise money for the Flying Farage lifeboat.
