Constitutional experts, historians and possibly lawyers have been examining how the return of the Duke of Sussex to a prominent royal position could make the UK part of the EU again.
Why did we have Brexit? The enthusiasts would cite the return to a traditional model of running the country and taking back control were high on the agenda. Here we have two royal brothers at war, one unhappy about the role he has been assigned. The Spare.
Three experts took a double dose of Sanatogen, main lined into their willing veins, and explored the likely outcome.
Emeritus Professor Raymond Davies of Kinks College London reminded us that there have been many instances of royal relatives who were dissatisfied with the situation and took drastic action. He cited the example of Edward II who was captured by supporters of his son Edward III and held prisoner at Berkeley Castle. There are stories that he suffered a gruesome death due to a misplaced red-hot poker. These are probably wrong. Whatever the truth he disappeared from history. Other changes of royal settling of scores include the beheading of Mary Queen of Scots, the death of Richard II at the hands of his cousin’s army – Henry IV. There are more examples of royals willing to go that extra mile.
Of course he would need to raise an army to invade first. Well that has happened loads of times. The Dutch and the French have been very willing to provide armies for disgruntled English/British contenders to the throne.
With Prince Harry at the head of his army he could easily subdue and capture Prince William. According to our constitutional expert Professor Magnus Carter he could demand to be recognised as heir, or he could remove King Charles. It’s not like royals haven’t done that sort thing before.
Professor Carter pointed out that he could revoke the 1689 Bill of Rights and become absolute ruler. With that sorted he is then free to make a claim on the French crown which is currently vacant.
Ron McDonald KC confirmed that with the French and British crowns united they become one country, and as France is in the EU then by default the UK becomes a member the EU. How’s that for taking back control?
When they were asked how likely this scenario is they all agreed it was the likely plan. “Watch out for him taking a holiday in France or Holland. That will be the sign that the plan is starting”.
We’d like to acknowledge @garius as the original inspiration for this post, but we won’t.
