The BBC Prom season starts tonight. As before it will feature a pop Prom. Their choice of artists has been controversial in the past. Are they going to go too far?

Bloke who has never watched The Proms horrified over Sam Smith

The announcement that pop singer Sam Smith will perform during the BBC Proms has outraged a bloke. Apart from seeing a brief clip of the crowd singing Land of Hope and Glory ten years ago he has never seen The Proms.
